Estonia belongs to the Baltic states and is located in the north of Europe. It has common borders with Russia and Latvia and is on the Baltic Sea. Estonia is an independent state since 1991 and member of the United Nations. Since 2004 it is part of the European Union and since then a popular travel destination together with the two other Baltic states Latvia and Lithuania.

When Estonia became a member of the EU it received a lot of financial aids that helped to rebuild and renovate many old buildings and improve the infrastructure. A lot of money has been invested into the capital city of Estonia Tallinn. Tallinn is a stunning and charming city located directly at the Baltic Sea. It has a city centre dating back to the middle age and is one of the most well-maintained cities in whole Europe from this era. Tallinn is also the largest city in Estonia with only 400,000 Inhabitants. In 2011 Tallinn was the cultural capital of Europe. Tallinn is only 80 kilometers away from the Finish capital Helsinki and there are ferries leaving regular between the two capital cities. You will surely be able to find a nice private guestroom in Estonia's capital city. Also an self-contained apartment in Estonia is a good option.

Estonia has also a lot of untouched nature. More than fifty percent of the country's area is covered by forest, many of which are national parks. There are lots of trails and excellent walking paths. If you like beaches there are hundreds of kilometer of coastline with nice sandy beaches. Mostly there are secluded and even in summer you will always find a private spot.

Travelling around Estonia you will see a lot of beautiful old mansions. They are over 100 years old and some recently opened to visitors and they have been converted to hotels. Stay in such a guestroom in Estonia has to offer, it will be a unique experience. In the winter season there is a lot of snow in Estonia and the Baltic Sea often freezes between the mainland and the offshore islands. When this happens roadways are built on the ice and one can drive over the ice from the mainlands to the island by car, which is an amazing experience. www.ebab.de
